Who would ever think that a virus could force corporations to adopt work from home policies for their employees as the new way of working — many feel it’s more productive than conventional office work.
Right now, working from home has become the new normal for many corporate employees. They enjoy great flexibility in balancing their personal and professional lives and much prefer to work from home rather than the office.
As a former architecture student, I reimagined, through the series, a post-pandemic transformation of office buildings & space design solutions that foster better work collaboration, productivity, culture, and work environment. I like to question what I see as it forces me to look at things from different angles, which often gives me fresh perspectives in the most unexpected ways.
Co-Ākitechua is available in 3 unique designs mixing traditional Japanese patterns with a reimagined corporate architecture world.
ASANOHA: This pattern was named after its resemblance to a hemp leaf. It is connected to the ideas of growth and health, since hemp is durable and grows quickly.
SEIGAIHA: This design is made of rows of ocean waves forming a fan-shaped pattern. It symbolizes the desire for continued peaceful living, like the tranquil waves.
SHIPPŌ: This is the seven pattern treasures in Buddhism. Shippo pattern is a shape overlapped by several circles and is also commonly used in Japanese pattern. The overlapping circles symbolize a happy ending.
